Shooting leaves one man dead in south Miami-Dade. MDSO deputies are investigating

A 35-year-old man was killed after a shooting went down Tuesday afternoon in South Miami-Dade County, authorities said. Deputies don’t yet have information on suspects but are asking for community tips.

Around 1:40 p.m., a ShotSpotter alerted Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies that a shooting may have occurred in the area of Southwest 266 Street and Southwest 139 Avenue, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies found Gregory Trevon Norman, 35, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities have not released any information on a possible suspect or suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 305-471-477.
