Spring break in Miami Beach officially kicked off Friday, with smaller party crowds than in years past, and more families lounging on the beaches.
Along with a noticeable downturn in crowd sizes, Miami Beach has continued its heavy, visible enforcement with dozens of police officers and barricades blocking streets.
Spring break isn’t completely gone in South Beach: Some young adults and college students still danced on the sidewalks and blasted the newest hits from speakers.
