Teens struck by a car after running a stop sign on an e-bike in Little Havana, police say

Two teens were hospitalized after being hit by a car in Little Havana on Monday night, according to Miami Police.

Two teenagers were taken to the hospital on Monday night after being hit by a car while riding an electric bicycle, according to Miami police.

At around 8:15 p.m., the 17-year-olds were riding in the area of Northwest 11th Avenue and Second Street when they ran a stop sign at the intersection and were struck by the car, according to police.

Police say the driver remained on the scene.

The teens were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital and are expected to recover, according to police.
