South Florida Haitians on Thursday gathered in North Miami to celebrate the 18th Annual Haitian Community Thanksgiving Brunch, hosted by The Schulz Foundation.
As part of the festivities, guests enjoyed music, prayers, songs and live performances along with turkey and all the traditional trimmings in two locations in Miami-Dade County — the Joe Celestin Center in North Miami and the Phicol Williams Community Center in Homestead.
The affair is designed to provide safe, fun, and free food to underprivileged people in Miami. In addition, the Schulz Foundation provides food deliveries to home-bound individuals who cannot attend the venues. The food is delivered by the foundation’s volunteers.
