Construction worker hospitalized after falling from site in Bal Harbour, officials say
A worker was flown to the hospital Tuesday morning after falling from a ladder at a construction site in Bal Harbour, officials say.
At about 9:10 a.m., ten Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units arrived to the area 9700 block of Collins Avenue after reports that a worker had fallen.
The construction worker fell from a ladder onto the second floor of the structure and was unable to get down, according to MDFR.
Video provided by MDFR shows the worker being lowered in a stokes basket as fellow construction workers looked on before they were airlifted to the North Trauma Center.
MDFR did not provide details on how the worker fell or their condition.
