A murder-suicide in a Miami-Dade home Saturday morning left a man and woman dead — and children without parents, police said.

At around 8:30 a.m., officers received reports of a person shot in the 124600 block of West Randall Park Drive, Miami-Dade Police Det. Andre Martin said. There, they found a 40-year-old Marcos Antonio Gonzalez and 39-year-old Raiza Cajuso suffering from gunshot wounds inside a home.

The pair, according to police, was already dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed the two were in a relationship but had separated. The couple’s three children — ages 9, 13 and 15 — were inside the home at the time of the shooting, according to Miami Herald news partner CBS News Miami. One of them made the 911 call.

Shortly before the shooting, Gonzalez and Cajuso got into an argument that “became violent.” Gonzalez, police say, pulled out a gun and shot Cajuso before turning it on himself.

Anyone with information regarding this incident should call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
