Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash on I-95 near 79th St.

A pedestrian was killed early Sunday morning on the Interstate 95 northbound exit ramp to Northwest 79th Street, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP spokesman Joe Sanchez said the car hit the person and then took off.

“At this point we don't have very many details,” he said.

The crash happened around 4:10 a.m.

Investigators are looking for a silver Mercedes-Benz with no tag.
