Miami ‘Good Samaritan’ finds woman missing for two days after landing at MIA, cops say

MONDAY UPDATE: Maria Velasquez has been “found in good health,” Miami-Dade police said Monday afternoon.

Velasquez, a 63-year-old who is dealing with dementia, landed at Miami International Airport Saturday morning at 9:05 on a flight from Connecticut, police said. The people who were supposed to help her upon arrival didn’t connect with her.

She wasn’t seen again until Monday, when, police say, a Good Samaritan in Miami saw Velasquez and noticed her medical bracelet. The person contacted law enforcement.
