Miami ‘Good Samaritan’ finds woman missing for two days after landing at MIA, cops say
MONDAY UPDATE: Maria Velasquez has been “found in good health,” Miami-Dade police said Monday afternoon.
Velasquez, a 63-year-old who is dealing with dementia, landed at Miami International Airport Saturday morning at 9:05 on a flight from Connecticut, police said. The people who were supposed to help her upon arrival didn’t connect with her.
She wasn’t seen again until Monday, when, police say, a Good Samaritan in Miami saw Velasquez and noticed her medical bracelet. The person contacted law enforcement.
Anyone who knows anything about where Velasquez is, was or where she might be should contact Miami-Dade police’s special victims bureau/missing persons squad at 305-715-3300 or Crime Stoppers of Miami, either online or 305-471-8477 (TIPS).
