Bus, Metrorail service returning to normal Thursday in Miami-Dade after Hurricane Ian

Bus and Metrorail services are returning in Miami-Dade County on Thursday morning, a day after the county shut down transit for Hurricane Ian’s winds and rain.

Miami-Dade announced the planned resumption of service shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday, and said some bus operations would resume sooner than that. By Thursday morning, the county expects to return to full transit schedules, including STS service for people with disabilities.

Some bus routes began offering limited service Wednesday evening, with full service set to resume at midnight. Those routes are 3, 8, 9, 11, 27, 38, 77, L, and S. Overnight bus routes 246 and 500 will resume regular schedules as well.
