Election season has returned, which means disputed claims abound on the radio and social media, and in private chat groups and campaign ads.

To help voters sort through a flood of information and to create a better understanding about social and political narratives in South Florida, the Miami Herald and el Nuevo Herald are publishing a newsletter in Spanish and English.

The newsletters are produced by reporter Lesley Cosme Torres and are part of a larger project on studying misinformation and disinformation in Spanish-language media related to this year’s elections. Her work is funded by a grant from the Knight Foundation. The Miami Herald retains all editorial control of the content.
