Traffic alert: If you’re driving in Miami, take note of the Critical Mass bike ride

Hundreds of bicyclists are expected to ride through Miami Friday evening for a Critical Mass event. And drivers should take note: You could be delayed on the road.

Critical Mass takes to the streets the last Friday of the month.

This ride will start near downtown’s Miami-Dade Government Center at 7:15 p.m., and circle Miami and Miami Beach for about 20 miles until it reaches the starting point again.

Two downtown events are happening around the same time of the bike ride. E11ven is having a concert at 8 p.m. and the Arsht Center’s Summer Shorts performance starts at 7:30 p.m.
