Child hospitalized after car barrels into Miami-Dade home, fire rescue says
A car barreled into a a Miami-Dade home after a crash, trapping the driver Friday afternoon. A child inside the home was sent to the hospital, authorities said.
Around 4 p.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue was called to a car colliding into a home after an accident near Southwest 168 Terrace and 115 Avenue. When rescuers arrived, a person was trapped inside the car.
After extracting the person, fire rescue said it believes a private ambulance took the person to the hospital.
A “pediatric patient” was injured inside the home and taken to a hospital, as well, fire rescue said.
The circumstances of the crash are not yet known.
