What’s open and closed on Friday for July 4 holiday

Saturday is Independence Day, but local, state and federal government offices will observe the holiday on Friday. Here’s a list of what’s open and closed for the holiday:

Federal offices: Closed.

State offices: Closed.

Miami-Dade County offices: Closed.

Broward County offices: Closed.

Miami-Dade courts: Closed.

Broward courts: Closed.

Post offices: Open Friday, closed Saturday.

Stock markets: Closed.

Banks: Most are open on Friday but are closed Saturday. Check with your bank for schedule.

Miami-Dade libraries: Closed.

Broward libraries: Closed Friday and Saturday.

Tri-Rail: Normal schedule.

Miami-Dade and Broward transit: Regular schedule with limited service on 95 Express in Miami-Dade; ; regular service on July 3, Sunday service on July 4 in Broward.

Miami-Dade garbage collection: No collection Friday.

Broward garbage collection: Normal schedule for Municipal Services Districts (formerly Unincorporated Broward). Residents of all other cities should contact their city or hauler directly.

Malls: Open.
