DUI checkpoint in Allapattah Thursday

Anyone driving on Northwest 36 Street and Northwest 18th Avenue in Allapattah Thursday night may face some delays.

The Miami Police Department will hold a multi-agency DUI checkpoint from 7 p.m. to midnight in hopes of identifying impaired drivers. Anyone driving in the area is subject to a check.

The operation is in conjunction with the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over," “Let’s Eliminate Aggressive Driving” and the “Buckle Up Florida: Click It or Ticket” campaigns.
