82-year-old woman with dementia who left hospital and went missing is found, cops say
Juana Laudelina Afa walked out of North Shore Medical Center in Northwest Miami-Dade sometime Monday and never made it home.
On Monday night, Miami-Dade police asked for the community’s help in finding the 82-year-old, who suffers from dementia. Soon after, police said the woman had been found in good condition.
Afa had last been seen in the area of the hospital located at 1100 NW 95th St.
Police said she didn’t contact any family or friends and may have been in need of services.
