One shot dead and two others wounded in front of Northwest Miami-Dade home, police say
A shooting in front of a Northwest Miami-Dade home killed a 21-year-old man and wounded his brother and another man, police said early Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. Tuesday at 1741 NW 88th St., Miami-Dade police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta said.
Police say Kristopher Vega, his 24-year-old brother and a 22-year-old man were standing in front of the house when someone opened fire and shot them. The shooter then took off.
Vega died from his injuries in front of the home, according to police. His brother and the other man — whose names police have not disclosed yet — were taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital and are in stable condition.
Police say they don’t have a description of the shooter or shooters yet and are asking the public for help.
“We just want to know what you saw,” Zabaleta said.
