A Miami-Dade teen grabbed a knife and threatened to kill himself. He’s now missing.

UPDATE: Jerell Jordan was safely recovered Saturday evening.

Before he left his Southwest Miami-Dade home, 13-year-old Jerell Jordan grabbed a knife and said he was going to kill himself, police said in a missing person alert.

That was around 4 p.m. Friday afternoon. Jerell hasn’t been seen since leaving the 13000 block of Southwest 260th Street in Miami.

Miami-Dade police’s endangered juvenile alert says that Jerell has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and a learning disability.

He is described as a black male, five feet three inches tall and 146 pounds with brown eyes and short black hair.

Jerell was last seen wearing a maroon shirt, khaki pants and black shoes.

Police ask that you notify the Special Victims Bureau/Missing Persons Squad at 305-715-3300 or call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
