Railroad crossing-arm problems are gumming up traffic from Miami to West Palm Beach

Drivers should avoid railroad crossings around the FEC tracks, the ones used by the Brightline commuter train, as signal issues have some crossing arms stuck in the down position from Miami-Dade to Palm Beach counties.

That, of course, is causing traffic backups at each problem point.

A Virgin/Brightline spokesman says their trains are experiencing delays while FEC works to resolve the problem.

This breaking news story will be updated as more information becomes available.
