Teen who ‘made suicidal threats’ goes missing, cops say

UPDATE: Jashanie Ragin was found Wednesday morning. Miami-Dade police say she is safe.

Miami-Dade police are asking for the community’s help in finding a missing 16-year-old.

Jashanie Ragin, who according to police suffers from depression and “made suicidal threats,” was last seen Tuesday in the 26700 block of Southwest 142nd Avenue.

Jashanie is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair and was last seen in a cream-colored Jacket and blue jeans.

Police say the girl may be in need of services.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau/Missing Persons Squad at 305-715-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
