A man was found dead and a woman was barely breathing on board a boat docked at Sea Isle Marina in Miami Monday afternoon, according to Miami Fire Rescue Captain Ignatius Carroll.
Carroll said the owner of the cabin cruiser allowed his friends to go on the boat and when he went back to the dock at Northeast 16th Street and North Bayshore Drive to get something from the vessel he found the man unconscious and the woman barely alive.
"She wouldn't have had a fighting chance unless he came back," Carroll said.
The couple, believed to be in their 40s, was found at about 2:30 p.m., but it was not clear what happened. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
