Authorities are searching for a woman who is believed to have fallen overboard in Biscayne Bay late Sunday night.

The U.S. Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and other agencies deployed helicopters and boats in the search for 26-year-old Lauren Jenee Lamar. She had been in out at Stiltsville with the driver of the boat, Russell Bruce, 45, and another passenger, Alicia Bartolota, 28.

When Bruce docked the 30-foot boat at the Matheson Hammock Marina around midnight, the boaters noticed Lamar was not sleeping in the cabin as they thought. Bruce notified security, who called the police.

FWC is the lead agency in the search that has mobilized several other agencies, including police from Miami, Coral Gables and Miami-Dade County, as well as Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

Authorities suspended the search Monday evening as darkness fell. Bruce and Bartolota were being questioned for details.

Miami-Dade police are still considering this a search and rescue.
