A multi-agency rescue effort pulled eight boaters out of Biscayne Bay Sunday night after their boat capsized, according to the Coast Guard.

In response to a 911 call around 8 p.m. Sunday, crews from the Coast Guard, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Coral Gables Marine Patrol and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission were joined by a Miami-Dade police helicopter and Coral Gables police in a search.

The Coast Guard took six people out of the water and took them to Matheson Hammock Park. The Miami-Dade police helicopter and Coral Gables Marine Patrol each took one. None of the boaters reported injuries.
