Seven injured after car wreck sends vehicle crashing into El Portal home

Seven people were injured Saturday following a two-vehicle accident that sent one car careening into a house in El Portal.
The cause of the accident, which took place near Northeast Second Avenue and Northeast 90th Street, remains unknown. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene shortly after 2:11 p.m. and transported five patients to local hospitals. One of the patients went to a trauma center.
The remaining two patients were treated on scene.
