Comedian Kathy Griffin posted a video on social media Wednesday afternoon begging for forgiveness from her fans after a fire in the tail of the plane she was traveling in forced an emergency landing, preventing her from making it on time for her Miami show.
“I am so sorry I have to cancel the show,” she said. “I sincerely apologize. You guys know I never cancel.”

Her last tour stop, according to her website, was Saturday night in Washington, D.C. It was not clear where she was leaving or what kind of plane she was on.
Fans were forgiving.
“Glad you and the other passengers on the plane are safe,” Emma Dawson tweeted. “It must have been terribly scary. Your fans will just be glad that you’re safe.”
Griffin, who was already dressed for her show, was grateful for the support.
“Thank you! But I really am so upset to be postponing a show,” she said. “I just don’t do it...this one is out of my control however. I will post a rescheduled date asap. I’m sorry, Miami!”
