A woman tried to get a 5-year-old girl to leave a Miami-Dade Transit bus with her in Allapattah while the girl’s mother sat in another part of the bus.
Miami police released surveillance video from the bus Monday morning in search of the attempted kidnapper.
This all occurred last Wednesday around 5:35 p.m. near 3501 NW 12th Ave., Allapattah Station for buses and Metrorail. According to Miami police, the girl boarded the bus and sat near the back while her mother sat near the front.
The woman began chatting up the 5-year-old, police say. Once the woman learned the mother was in another part of the bus, she told the girl to get off at the next stop with her. The child refused when the woman extended a helping hand toward her.
