One person was killed and six others were injured in a head-on crash involving a stolen pick-up truck in Allapattah Tuesday afternoon, according to Miami police.

The deadly wreck happened just before 2 p.m., east of the intersection of Northwest 14th Avenue and 35th Street.

Police say a red Dodge Ram, which was reported stolen out of Miami Monday, was headed east when it collided with a black Ford Flex, which was heading west.

In total, police say seven people were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

The driver of the Ford Flex, police say, died at the hospital. The two occupants of the truck were treated for minor injures and were detained for questioning, police said.

The names of the involved parties were not released as of Tuesday night.
