Cashier shot during an attempted robbery of a 7-Eleven
A South Miami-Dade 7-Eleven cashier was in critical condition after being shot Monday morning during an attempted robbery.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said she was flown from the store at 13690 SW 268 St. to Jackson Memorial Hospital South Trauma Center after the shooting, which occurred around 10:50 a.m.
Miami-Dade police say a man with a gun demanded money from the cashier, then shot her. The cashier managed to make it into the back office, where a male coworker got into a fight with the gunman, who then ran away.
