Miami police kept busy Tuesday with six different paint-ball incidents throughout the city, including Wynwood and Allapattah.

Yes, paint balls.

No one was seriously injured, but still police officers are concerned.

"The subjects may think it's a practical joke," said Kiara Delva, a police spokeswoman. "But they are not looking at the bigger picture."

In the latest incident, a man was shot by the colorful pellets in the area of Northwest 22nd Street and Fifth Avenue in the Wynwood area around 8 p.m..

"The male victim told officers that he thought he had been shot and then saw the ricochet of paint all over his clothes," she said.

She said two victims in other incidents were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. It is not clear whether the incidents are all related.

"This is a crime," Devla said. "We need to figure out who is doing this."

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
