One person was killed late Sunday night in what Miami police are describing as a hit-and-run crash.

At about 11:30 p.m., a Dodge Ram pickup truck collided with a Buick Renaissance SUV at Northwest 36th Street and 27th Avenue in the Allapattah area.

The crash killed one person in the SUV, 56-year-old Rainaldo Murillo, and injured two other people, one of them critically, Miami police said. The injured were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

According to Miami police, the two people in the pickup got out of the vehicle after the crash and took off running. They were last seen running through a neighborhood near State Road 112.

Investigators released video taken from red-light cameras, which they plan to review along with surveillance video from area businesses.
