Citing a burden on vulnerable residents, city of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez announced the end to red light cameras in Miami.

These controversial tickets will no longer be issued in Miami.

Miami commissioners unanimously voted to end the contract in mid-December. The plug was officially pulled Thursday.

“The days of our most vulnerable residents being overburdened by these costly fines are over,” Suarez tweeted Thursday night.

But there’s a caveat.

If you got a ticket because of a red light camera before Thursday you still have to pay.
