Vizcaya Gardens in Coconut Grove is celebrating National Public Gardens Day by inviting visitors to their ConSerVations: Walk and Talk tour from 10 to 11:30 a.m Saturday.

Ian Simpkins, chief horticulturist at Vizcaya, 3251 S. Miami Ave. , will guide and teach guests about the history of the estate, current projects and future plans.

The series exposes participants to Vizcaya’s subtropical surroundings and aims to raise awareness of environmental preservation.

The tour begins at the ticket booth and costs $25 for non-members and $7 for members.
