Workers this week are scheduled to begin a roadway project along southbound and northbound Interstate 95 in Miami-Dade County.
The southbound work will stretch from Northwest 125th Street to 103rd streets, and the northbound work will go from 103rd to 151st streets. The project will cost an estimated $14.4 million and take about 14 months to complete. It involves repaving and striping the roadway and replacing plastic poles.
Meanwhile, multiple ramp closures will disrupt traffic on State Road 836 this week. Among them: The entrance ramps to eastbound State Road 836 from both northbound and southbound Northwest 12th Avenue will be closed for pavement striping through Thursday from 9 p.m. each night to 5:30 a.m. and again from 11 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday; the eastbound 836 exit ramps to both northbound and southbound Northwest 27th Avenue will be closed for striping through Thursday from 9 p.m. each night to 5:30 a.m. and again from 11 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday.
On northbound State Road 826, the exit ramp to eastbound Gratigny Parkway will be closed Thursday from 11 p.m. to Fiday at 5 a.m. Also on 826, all northbound lanes will be closed between Northwest 122nd and 154th streets, including the flyover ramp to I-75 and the exit ramp to eastbound Gratigny Parkway from 11 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
The northbound lanes of I-95 from the westbound ramp of State Road 112 to the eastbound ramp of I-195 north of Northwest 35th Street will be closed for signage installation through Thursday, from 11 p.m. each night until 5:30 a.m. Meanwhile, the exit ramp from westbound 112 to Northwest 36th Street will be closed for bridge work and other chores through Sunday from 9 p.m. each night to 5:30 a.m.
