A 2-year-old boy was stabbed to death by his mother Sunday morning in South Miami-Dade, police say.
The boy’s mom — who was described as suicidal by a 911 caller — stabbed the toddler, an adult man and herself at around 6:46 a.m, detectives said.
The stabbing happened at 28200 SW 124th Pl.— a government housing complex— just about a mile north of Homestead Air Reserve Base.
The caller told police the mother and child were being taken to Homestead Hospital by an unknown person. Once police got to the emergency room, the baby boy had died, and his mother was listed in critical condition, according to Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Robin Pinkard.
