Two American Airlines planes that had just landed touched on the tarmac over the weekend at Miami International Airport.
The wingtip of an Airbus A319 “came into contact” with a Boeing 737 as they were both taxiing to the gate just after 6 p.m. Sunday, according to American Airlines.
Both planes, one arriving from Honduras and the other from Puerto Rico, traveled safely to the gate and all passengers exited normally. No one was hurt, according to the airline.
American Airlines’ maintenance team is evaluating damage to the planes.
