National Weather Service issues flood advisory for Miami-Dade County
Get to high ground, Miami. Or, failing that in our South Florida flatness, dry ground.
The National Weather Service has issued a Tuesday afternoon/evening flood advisory for Miami-Dade County until 6:45 p.m.

“At 3:53 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms,” the advisory read. “This will cause urban and street flooding in the advisory area. Doppler radar estimates indicate up to two to three inches of rain have already fallen, with an additional one to three inches of rain possible as additional thunderstorms train over the advisory area.”
The advisory seems focused on the northwest portion of the county. The weather service said Hialeah, Miami Gardens, Doral, Miami Lakes and Hialeah Gardens should experience flooding.
