The landlord for South Florida’s most well-known strip club is being sued for foreclosure on the nearly five-acre piece of property that King of Diamonds calls home.
A lawsuit filed last week (and first reported by the South Florida Business Journal) accused the landlord, Brooklyn-based Kodrenyc, LLC, of not making payments on its $5.3 million mortgage since May.
According to the suit, the landlord was hit with a default notice on May 12 after Kodrenyc allegedly failed to pay both its $4 million principal and the $1.3 million in unpaid interest accrued since the company first took on the loan in 2014. The lender, 17800 State Road 9 Lender LLC, wants to take ownership of the 60,622-square-foot strip warehouse, 17800 Ipco Road in North Miami-Dade, and appoint someone to collect rent.
