A man is in critical condition after he was hit by a car early Sunday in North Miami-Dade.
Police are searching for the driver of a navy blue 2010 BMW 335i that fled the scene of the accident around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday between Northeast Fifth Avenue and Northeast 180th Street.
“The driver of listed vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction without rendering aid to the victim,” said Det. Daniel Ferrin, from the Miami-Dade Police Department, in a news release.
The pedestrian, whom police identified as Alexander Sanghwan, 22, from Ontario, Canada, was walking on the edge of the roadway when he was hit. He was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital with multiple injuries and is in critical condition, police said.
