An argument between two passengers on an American Airlines flight leaving from Miami International Airport caused authorities to evacuate the plane and delay the flight for about two hours.
Miami-Dade police said they were told that one of the passengers made reference to a bomb.
Cesar Ahumada, who was on the flight, said the captain made an announcement that someone had “muttered something that sounded like a threat.” Ahumada said the man was then escorted away by police.
The flight was scheduled to leave at 12:20 to go to Los Angeles. It was cleared by about 2 p.m. and scheduled to start boarding.
