Northbound U.S. 1 lanes in Key Largo to be closed at night beginning Tuesday
Starting Tuesday, the Florida Department of Transportation will close parts of U.S. 1 in Key Largo to repair road damage on the 18-mile stretch.
The road closures will affect the northbound lanes just north of Jewfish Creek Bridge and take place from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., from Mile Markers 108-112. Traffic will be rerouted to Card Sound Road with the regular northbound bridge toll lifted. The work will last from Feb. 3-5 and from Feb. 9-12.
Drivers who are traveling northbound to businesses on Ramp E or Yacht Club Drive (including Gilbert’s and the Anchorage) should inform police. They will be accompanied through the construction zone to those businesses.
Speed limits will be reduced for southbound traffic during construction.
