A Key Largo man is accused of pointing a gun at another man at a restaurant in a dispute over a laptop computer.

Kristian Demblans, 33, was arrested Friday night and charged with battery and aggravated assault with a firearm.

The incident took place at Denny’s Latin Cafe, at mile marker 99.5 in Key Largo, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Demblans and his girlfriend pulled up to the restaurant in his pickup truck and confronted Alexis Murgas, according to the sheriff’s office.

“Witnesses say Demblans tussled with Alexis Murgas over the computer. Demblans later told deputies he sold the computer to Murgas and was still owed money for it. During the confrontation, Demblans allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim,” sheriff’s spokeswoman Becky Herrin said in a statement.

Demblans then got back into his truck with his girlfriend and headed south, then north, then south again. Sheriff’s deputies stopped the truck and said they found a loaded handgun and rife inside.
