Officials identified the passenger killed when a boat overturned Saturday off Key Largo as a 21-year-old from Boynton Beach.

Eytan M. Genoune was identified as the person killed when a 34-foot Nor-Tech with three people aboard took a sharp turn, launching everyone into the water, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

The two other people on board — the boat’s operator and another passenger — were hospitalized. They were rescued from the water by good Samaritans, the FWC said.

All three were airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. Fire officials responded to the scene around 10:30 a.m.

“This is an active investigation; no further information is available at this time,” the FWC said Sunday.
