Group of more than 20 Cuban migrants arrives in Florida Keys, officials say

A group of more than 20 Cuban migrants, including two children, landed in the Florida Keys Tuesday night, according to law enforcement sources.

The people arrived at the area near Veterans Memorial Park in Big Pine Key shortly before midnight, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office told the Miami Herald. The vessel on which they came is about 50 yards offshore.

Florida Highway Patrol and U.S. Border Patrol responded to the scene.
