Two boats were nearly destroyed in a large fire at a popular Key West marina Monday night, according to Monroe County Fire Rescue.

The fire started at the dry dock storage area of Robbie’s Marina at 7281 Shrimp Road around 9:30 p.m. and was extinguished around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, said Kristen Livengood, Fire Rescue spokeswoman. There were no reported injuries, said Livengood.

Both a 23- to 25-foot vessel and a vessel larger than 40 feet were heavily damaged, Livengood said.

Firefighters from five different stations battled the blaze, Livengood said.

The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating, she said.
