Miami man accused of stabbing two people outside a Key West golf course, police say
A Miami man is in a Florida Keys jail after Monroe sheriff’s deputies say he stabbed two people and robbed another of his bicycle at knife-point Monday night.
According to the sheriff’s office, Henry Fernando Galeano-Amador, 29, stabbed two men outside the Key West Golf Club on Stock Island shortly before 6 p.m.
They were arguing before Galeano-Amador stabbed them, police said. One man was stabbed in the back and arm, and the other near his ribs, said Adam Linhardt, a sheriff’s office spokesman.
Monroe County Fire-Rescue flew the man wounded in the back and arm to Jackson South Medical Center, said Kristen Livengood, the department’s spokesperson.
Galeano-Amador ran away before confronting another man and robbing him of his bicycle by threatening him with his knife, Linhardt said.
He dumped the bike near U.S. 1 and North College Road. Deputies found and arrested him at a Shell gas station in Key Haven, Linhardt said. Galeano-Amador told deputies he stabbed the men, according to the sheriff’s office.
Galeano-Amador remained in county jail Tuesday morning on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and armed robbery. His bond information was not available.
