Traffic alert: Motorcyclist injured in Seven Mile Bridge crash in the Florida Keys
One person was injured Thursday morning in a motorcycle crash on the Seven Mile Bridge.
The crash happened around 5:45 a.m. at mile marker 43 at the northern end of the bridge, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The bridge connects the Middle Keys city of Marathon with Little Duck Key in the Lower Keys.
According to the sheriff’s office, the crash involved only one person riding a motorcycle. paramedics took the rider to Baptist Health’s Fishermen’s Community Hospital in Marathon, a sheriff’s office spokesman said.
The extent of the driver’s injuries were not immediately known.
