He said he had to use the toilet at a shop. Then he dropped his pants for all, cops say

A Miami man is accused of exposing himself to customers, at least one of whom was a child, at a Florida Keys gift shop.

Paul-Elie Daniel Duval, 37, was arrested Thursday morning on driving with a suspended license, indecent exposure and disorderly conduct chargers after dropping his drawers in public. He’s being held in a Monroe County jail where his bond has yet to be set.

Trouble began the moment Duval strolled into the Theater of the Sea gift shop in Islamorada without a mask, a requirement for anyone planning to go into a public place in Monroe County. An employee asked him to put one on but he refused and began swearing like a sailor, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Duval directed his diatribe “particularly to the women in the room, including one minor girl,” commenting on their bodies, his genitals and pornography, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Witnesses say Duval then dropped his shorts in front of the entire gift shop while continuing to spew foul language, according to the sheriff’s office. He left shortly thereafter.

It didn’t take long for deputies to pull over Duval. The 37-year-old told them that he went inside to use the bathroom but the staff wouldn’t let him, so he exposed himself, deputies say.

Deputies also said Duval admitted to knowing there were children present.
