This was no mere bale of marijuana. A Florida Keys resident just found a barrel
A large barrel full of marijuana was found in the shallow waters off the Florida Keys.
The blue plastic container had about 90 pounds of marijuana stored in separate black plastic bags inside.
The drugs were found by a resident in the ocean just off 109th Street in the Middle Keys city of Marathon around 4 p.m. Thursday, said Adam Linhardt, spokesman for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office responded to the call, but the U.S. Border Patrol took possession of the drugs, Linhardt said.
