Crash with several vehicles shuts down traffic on Seven Mile Bridge
A crash on the Seven Mile Bridge on Thursday morning stopped traffic and involved multiple vehicles, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported at 10 a.m. on Facebook.
Injuries were reported after the crash at mile marker 42, which involved at least three vehicles, including a commercial truck, the agency said.
At about 10:20 a.m., the sheriff’s office reported traffic in the northbound lane was moving. But the southbound lane was still blocked.
The Florida Highway Patrol is the lead agency that investigates crashes on U.S. 1.
