NSU’s art museum gets new name, website

Nova Southeastern University’s art museum in Fort Lauderdale is changing its name — just a little.

The institution will become NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale, a slight deviation from its previous moniker, NSU Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale.

But with the new name comes new branding and a new website, www.nsuartmuseum.org, all of which will be rolled out Monday. The website will include more access to the museum’s permanent collection.

The museum said the rebranding is part of the continued growth and change that started when director and chief curator Bonnie Clearwater came on board in September 2013. She was previously director and chief curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami.
