Car slams into Pembroke Pines home, driver taken to the hospital

One person was taken to a hospital after a car slammed into a Pembroke Pines home on Thursday.

Pembroke Pines fire officials said the home, in the 8500 block of Johnson Street, has major damage.

The homeowner came home to find a black Toyota Camry parked in her living room.

Witnesses said they heard a large crash and ran outside to see the car inside the home. The driver was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital. Fire Officials say he was in stable condition when he arrived.

Officials are investigating the cause of the crash.
